Giving a new life to leather shoes and bags.
If you have shoes or bags that have some damage, don’t throw them away, in many instances, they can be recoloured or repaired giving them a new life.
We stock a wide range of products and dyes in assorted colours for your projects.
Below are examples of damaged and redyed shoes and bags.
This is an example of redyed patent shoe made unusable because of permanent stains. Patent leather is more difficult to dye with regular leather dyes. Besides dying the shoe, the heels were also repaired with new supatap heels.
These are the products used to recolour the patent pink shoe. Preparer. A mild solvent to clean and prepare leather prior to recolouring. Leather penetrating dye (black colour). Suits better than regular dye to recolour patent leather. Polishing Cloth – For buffing smooth leather. Collonil Waterproofer. To seal the dye and make the shoe waterproof.
This pair of shoes had two colours. To be able to reuse it again, needed colour change. The shoes had to be recoloured to a darker shade. The customer’s preference was black.
These are the products used to recolour the above shoe.
Preparer. A mild solvent to clean and prepare leather prior to recolouring. Shoe polish. Collonil black colour shoe polish was used. Shoe brush. For polishing the shoe. Polishing Cloth. For buffing smooth leather. Collonil Waterproofer. To seal the dye and make the shoe waterproof.
This particular shoe was light colour gold and had many scuff marks and, in some places, the original colour was totally scratched. The customer’s choice was a darker gold colour.
These are the products used to recolour the gold shoe.
Preparer. A mild solvent to clean and prepare leather prior to recolouring. Angelus Pearlescent 18K Gold Leather paint.Collonil Gold – shoe polish. Shoe brush. For polishing the shoe.Collonil Waterproofer. To seal the dye and make the shoe waterproof.
This bag had a colour damage. Because of the location of the damage (the bottom section of the bag) the best solution was to cover it with a contrasting leather patch with studs.
These are the products used to reapair the bag.
Preparer. A mild solvent to clean and prepare leather prior to recolouring. Leather patch. Shoe Glue. To glue the leather patch. Studs. Essential Cream. After the repair, the bag was cleaned with a leather cleaner and conditioner.
